Today,My mother was talking about her employee.She said "She didn't even have the audacity to call me to say she was going to be 2 hours late for work."
-Yes I do know what audacity means.
-I just want your opinion on which definition she probably meant.
-AND I know I should have asked her at the time but I was not really thinking at the time.

well u could take it that she meant, she didnt have the nerve to call me and tell me she would be late, or u could think she meant she didnt even have the decency to call me.
Bravery and/or manners. Both could fit and I think both are implied because it would be polite to have called but it would also have been brave as she could have got into trouble.What definition is audacity being used in this sentence?
