How do I turn recordings from Audacity into an mp3?

I'm using the program Audacity and after recording, it won't let me click Export when i go to File. Is there a way to fix this or another way to convert it?How do I turn recordings from Audacity into an mp3?

Once you've downloaded it, put it in a safe spot on your computer.

When you're ready to export as MP3, choose so in Audacity. It will ask you to show it where the file "lame.dll" (what you just downloaded) is. Find it, and click OK.



Now you can export as MP3.

this works
