I recently purchased the samson M5 karaoke mic. It has the adapter i needed to plug into a computer. But when i try to use it for things like Audacity or Ustream, it doesn't recognize a sound, please help me!How can you use a microphone on audacity?

If you are using VISTA, make sure you have the correct drivers for all your devices.. a lot of problems with mic's not working in VISTA are down to driver problems.How can you use a microphone on audacity?
Andrea - You need to make sure that the correct device is selected as your recording device first. In Audacity, go to Edit...Preferences then make sure your internal soundcard is the recoding device.
After that, you may need to make sure the mic volume is turned up in the control panel audio settings.
