It's too involved to try and answer here so what you need to do is go to the tool bar and click on "help" that will bring down two options....contents and about audacity. Click on contents. This should bring up the enter table of contents of how to use the program. It might seem complicated but it's not that bad. You really will get the most out of this program if you read ALL all the instructions.
