How do I get music onto Audacity?

O.K. I went to Audacity and import audio. I went to windows media player but it just brought up info about it like certain files. Not the music. How do i get the music? Also do realplayer or itunes work better with this program because I have them also.How do I get music onto Audacity?
When you click import audio, I think they are talking about one sound file at a time. Highlighting more than one may just work. But try one file first.



If you want music from your Windows Media Player, you need to go where those files are stored and click the sound file itself.



If it's not a format that Audacity handles, it'll tell you. Then just convert it to one that it does handle.
