How to change pitch in Audacity without changing the tempo?

I was just working on a piece of audio on Audacity and I wanted to change the pitch of a bit of that audio. I went to Effect%26gt;Change Pitch, and I put the pitch up. But when I increased the pitch, the tempo also increased.



Does anyone know how I can change the pitch without changing the tempo? Thank you to everyone who tries to help. :)How to change pitch in Audacity without changing the tempo?
It's not supposed to do that: you have three effects, Change Pitch, Change Speed and Change Tempo, and each does something different. (I fired up version 1.2.6 to check this, and sure enough, they're all different functions.)



Maybe you goofed with the mouse button, or maybe there's something screwy with your install, in which case you should reinstall it and try again. Weirder things have happened.How to change pitch in Audacity without changing the tempo?
Never had that happen before. Just lower the tempo if it changes.
