Audacity?????????????

i downloaded audacity, i turn my speakers on full and click record, the music plays but when i (i have windows...dunno which version tho :(( ) click play on the audcity box nothing plays..need help pleaseAudacity?????????????
Hi. Just got a chance to get back online. Here are a few things to look at for Audacity help. The first will tell you about what else you need along with Audacity to make it work. The next explains how to use it and the last is a video explaining how to set it up to work. Hopefully the three will get you started. I know on my Mac, I played with the settings for a while and then read the installation docs. I hadn't put in the extra support software and hadn't selected the right input device. DUH!! Worked great after I followed the instructions. lol



The instructions talk about setting up a podcast, but what you want to do is the same steps without putting it online. The video is the first in a series that explain how to do different things with Audacity. Once you have it working, you might want to watch the others to learn how to get the most out of it. (I did and learned some neat things that I didn't know I could do.)
