How can I get internet music loud enough to heard on audacity 1.3 beta?

I've tried recording music off the internet onto audacity. When I go to listen to it, I can barely hear it and I can't hear any of the words. I have my volume as loud as it will get too. So is there something that I can do so I can hear the recorded version of the song.? Thanks.How can I get internet music loud enough to heard on audacity 1.3 beta?
Are you selecting "stereo mix" or "What you hear" from the recording input selection box?.

Alongside that is a recording level control.

If this is set too low the output volume control won't make enough difference.
