I recently downloaded the music recorded software Audacity. I hooked my guitar up to my amp and set my computer up and recorded me playing for a minute. When I listened to it, the music sounded unclear and like crap. What do I need to do to make my recordings clear? I tried adjusting the settings on my amp, but it still sounded bad.How do I record clearly on Audacity using my guitar?
If you look at your amp, there should be an output plugin. You need a special chord that goes from that into the microphone jack into your computer.
That should clear everything up :)How do I record clearly on Audacity using my guitar?
You need to get the computer connected to the amp, using a cable, so you can directly record what you're playing.
I haven't tried it before, as I haven't played for that long, but it should be very possible. I intend upon trying sometime in the future. How do I record clearly on Audacity using my guitar?
Turn your mic really low because most mics are really sensative like mine. Ontop of that when you record the track look to the left you will see to little sliders that are for Gain and L/R speaker config. Turn the gain down and it'll get rid of the grainyness of the sound. Trust me it works like a charm I promise. If you need more help check out my tutorial on indepth audacity on my youtube ravenrage07.
