How do i put a sound in the middle of a song on audacity, as it always makes the sound play at the beginning?

How do i put a sound in the middle of a song on audacity, as it always makes the sound play at the beginning?



For example, i will put a 2 second sound in, and it will start at the beginning of the song under a new line, how can i edit where i want it to show up on that line?How do i put a sound in the middle of a song on audacity, as it always makes the sound play at the beginning?
I'm not sure LOLZ but i gotz da bring bring what what!
If the sound is on a new track select the timeshift icon.

It's the one in the block of six with the left/right arrow.

Place the cursor on the sound clip, left click, hold and drag to the right.

Place it in position, re-select the selection tool then play the first track from just before the re-positioned clip to check. Adjust again if needed then export as a new track. Select the sound from the beginning and go Edit, Cut.
